Description:
Winchester Super X Model-1 collectors this is a JEWEL!! This gun is significant being serial number XM0000003 coming from the estate of a gentleman who worked for Winchester Research & Development in the 1960s- 1970s. This gun is a Skeet Grade with fantastic color & figured walnut both stock & forend. Original Winchester hard buttplate rather than unsightly recoil pad.

It appears to me that the gun is barely fired if fired at all since being proofed at the factory. Very very high condition with the most minor handling marks and few miniscule oxidation freckles from storage. Minor series of scuffs on right side of buttstock which is only visible at certain angle as pictures show, does not detract. Totally original finishes.
This gun is paired with a period SX-1 box & paperwork which is not numbered to this gun but makes an attractive package. Being an R&D gun it may never have had it's own box. The Winchester Super X Model-1 was a high quality gun introduced circa 1973-1974 and was terribly costly for Winchester/Olin to produce.
