Description:
45-70, no serial number. 26" barrel, 6 groove rifling, probable rebarrel. Heavily worked over, original officers model, includes set trigger. Proper engraving on forward band, action flat, breech block, tang, lock, trigger guard and buttplate. Reblued metal, so engraving is softened. Proper no serial number receiver and high arch breech block. Modern replacement sights. Bore is excellent. Wood retains original poured pewter forend cap. Heavily refinished, original peep sight base holes have been filled. No cracks or large marrs. Two holes in underside of buttstock, not sure if they are original or not, both have been filled.
