A custom long throated 7x57 on a G33/40 Small Ring Mauser.. metal work by Jack Belk; wood by Ray Atkinson.
The stock is English styling and a exhibition piece of Russian walnut from Old World Walnut. Metal has been surface ground, very low custom scope bases built to fit Talley bases and beautifully done. A talley QD peep serves as a auxillary irong sight. to a barrel band front sight with a gold faced NECG post.. A scope of 40 mm fits well as does the 2.5X Leupold Alaskan..Lothar Walthar barrel 22 inch fwt with barrel band and barrel band swivel, Mod. 70 safety and a custom 4 panel bolt handle..Magazine is 30-06 length and you can seat bullets out or set them in .284 deep..The stock is properly laid out and cured and its a one of a kind walnut, striking and proper. Rifle has all the bells and whistles and shoots one inch groups with every load I tried when test fireing..Has a curved steel checker butt plate and grip cap..checkering is 24 LPI with mullard borders..and more.
