The HK P30 is a modern contender in the miltary and police, light weight, polymer framed pistol genre. The P30 and the VP9 were created in a perceived effort to reduce the size, weight and complexity of their flagship tactical pistol, the iconic USP, and give consumers the choice between hammer-fired, and striker fired. The P30 is the hammer-fired counterpart of the striker-fired VP9 both of which are staples in the concealed carry community. The P30 incorporates a well placed thumb-driven decocker on the left side of the rear of the slide. Directly next to the hammer itself, as well as standard night-sights, and adjustable backstraps, and palm swells. I know first-hand these are incredibly accurate and well shooting pistols and they fit function as an excellent concealed carry pistol, or duty hand gun.
