Description:
Here is a rare Ruger Palma Match rifle once owned by Ruger Enginner and Plant Manager  (Ruger Prescott, AZ Factory) William T Atkinson. Acquired indirectly from the Estate of William T Atkinson in 2006. This rifle was enhanced and updated to improve performance of the original Ruger Palma Rifles made in 1992 for the United States Palma Team. Mr. Atkinson was nationally known as premier rifle barrel maker and expert gunsmith. Ruger Palma Rifles are quite rare with the total production believed to be around 25 pieces. Most went to the United States Palma Team but a few were offered for $2,500 in the August and September 1998 classified section of "Shotgun News". 

The specifics of this rifle are as follows -

* Correct 880 serial pre-fix 
* Barrel is 30"
* Adjustable buttplate for LOP - 12 3/4" at present setting
* Single shot
* No sights are included
* Weight of gun is 10 LBS 10 5/8 OZ
* Metal track in the forend for Palm Rest Etc.
* Two stage trigger
* Free floating barrel 
* Cheek piece does not appear to be adjustable
* Strong lands and groves - mint bore
