19th Century Percussion Shotgun
Here we present an antique G.P. Foster Box Lock Percussion Shotgun, made circa 1855 in Bristol, Rhode Island. Shotguns like this were quintessential pieces for homes in rural areas or on the trail West. Used for sport, provision and protection, shotguns then, like now, proved themselves invaluable.
The metal surfaces have a mixed patina. Stock is in good shape. The bore is dark. The action on this shotgun is non-functioning due to the missing hammer.
