Description:
26 inch round barrel chambered in 40-82 WCF caliber. Full length magazine tube. Very bright and shiny bore. Crisp action. Nearly all of the original blue finish is present on the barrel and mag tube with just some minor thinning on the bottom of the mag tube. Traces of case color on the forend cap. The receiver has more than half of the original case color present with the balance turning silver. Strong color on the hammer and small areas of the lever. The deluxe wood is in very nice condition with nearly all of the high polished piano finish intact and the checkering is still sharp. Just a few minor handling mars. Original sights include a standard sporting front with a nickel-silver blade and a buckhorn style rear with elevator. The frame is drilled for a Lyman sight on the left side with filler screws in place. Special order sling eyes and a hard rubber butt plate complete this fine example of a Deluxe Sporting Rifle form Winchester. All features are verified by a factory letter.
