Ed Brown Marine Sniper

SOLD: BUYER PURCHASED BOTH RIFLES AND ACCESSORIES TOGETHER AS PACKAGE DEAL.

This is a M40A1 Marine Corp Sniper rifle which uses the Ed Brown M704 control-round feed action. Unlike the Mauser claw extractor (which requires a large portion of the receiver to be milled away in order to accommodate the large claw-extractor), this Ed Brown action has the extractor integrated as part of the bolt face. It is a true controlled-round feed action and was voted by Arms and Ammo magazine to be one of the most advanced rifle actions ever produced in the last 100-years!

In 2014, Ed Brown stopped making these rifles and their price jumped dramatically (when they became collector items)! Three different Ed Brown Marine Sniper rifles sold In Texas, Kentucky, and Wisconsin for up to $6,000.00 in 2014 (See Screenshot images of 2014 Listings).

This is an original Ed Brown Marine Sniper rifle manufactured by Ed Brown Industries (not a copy or a clone).

This rifle is chambered in 6.5 x 284 Norma which has the powder capacity of a 30-06 but with a short fat case it fits into a short-action and has greatly improved efficiency and ballistics. I have a video link of the Best of the West Kill Reel which shows this cartridge hammering big game in their tracks out to 1,000 yards! It repeatedly dropped big game at long-range as if these game animals were lightning struck! I believe it to be one of the finest long-range hunting cartridges ever devised! The 6.5 x 284 has also won numerous 1,000-yard rifle competitions!
