The Colt Delta Gold Cup National Match was Colt's top-of-the-line competition/target 10mm pistol. Colt produced this variation of the Delta Elite for 5 years from 1989 to 1993, but the total production figures were very low for this variation. Each pistol was built from the best match-quality parts Colt could build or source, and each pistol was hand-fit to be as tight and accurate as possible. The stainless steel Delta Gold Cup also features a target-style "Accro" adjustable rear sight and a serrated adjustable target trigger. The grips are wraparound textured black rubber combat grips with inset black, red, and gold Colt "Delta" symbol medallions. Very seldom do these sought-after pistols hit the market, particularly in unfired and minty all-original condition. This example is serial number DG03051 and was manufactured in early 1990. It is in minty and unfired condition and comes complete with the original box and all of the paperwork. This gun has been in storage in a safe since it was bought new. The stainless steel finish rates 99%+ and is like-new, and the bore is mint with no imperfections whatsoever. The grips are also pristine with no wear or damage. All of the exposed screw heads are pristine and have not been turned since leaving Colt. Everything on this Colt Delta Gold Cup National Match works 100% like the day it left the factory. The slide is nice and tight to the frame, but feels smooth and precise when worked by hand. The two-stage trigger is superb and breaks cleanly with light pressure. This Colt comes with the original 8-round stainless steel factory magazine. The original box still has the factory serial numbered end-label intact, and the Styrofoam inserts are in excellent condition. All of the paperwork is still inside the box as well, and it is pictured in one of the photos provided in this listing. If you have been looking for one of these rare and sought-after Colt 10mm guns for your collection it would be nearly impossible to find a better example than this one!
