These were made 1933 to 47 hard to find in 22 hornet, this one is deluxe with hand checkering on stock and forend, one five shot magazine with it. A STITH mounted weaver scope is mounted using only factory holes in receiver and the rear dovetail on barrel, very unique way to scope a rifle, and keep it original !! Hard to find a checkered deluxe 23 in a centerfire caliber, this one mint except for floorplate and trigger guard, is turning patina, scope is very clear and in focus !! A real good rifle for the Savage
