Description:
Abercrombie & Fitch stiff harness leather rifle case/scabbard. Appears to be for a scoped rifle with a small scope such as a Griffin & Howe with Lyman Alaskan. Overall length of 46". Widest point of 8". Rawhide wrapped edge. Unlined. Shows use but overall good condition. Strap leather is dry and could be easily replaced. Not so marked but undoubtedly made by H.H. Heiser. A great collectible piece of Americana or use it for its intended purpose.
