Description:
Serial #2Z2400/15748, 7.62mm NATO (.308), 21 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Spanish Civil War era rifle (rechambered to 7.62mm post-war) with the crest of the Gaurdia Civil on the receiver. The metal retains 90-92% of an armory reapplied blue finish with the muzzle and high edges having some mild fading to gray and plum-brown. The matching numbered bolt is finished armory bright and has some spots of dark freckling, mainly on the handle. Additionally, the trigger guard and floorplate also have matching numbers and there is a two line import stamp on the underside of the barrel just ahead of the nosecap. The stock has an excellent military oil finish remaining with numerous handling marks and blemishes throughout. This is a neat Spanish Mauser, and is in very good-near fine condition overall.
