Description:
Smith & Wesson Model 686 CS-1 with a 4'' barrel and bead blasted stainless finish. These were designed for the US Customs service and were manufactured to be very accurate with extremely tight tolerances. If you Google search Smith & Wesson CS-1 one of the first hits is an in depth artical on these revolvers. This one was probably commercially sold as it has magna round butt wood grips. It is shown with a beautiful pair of Craig Spegel Cocobolo grips and will ship as shown. The bead blasted finish shows almost no wear. Overall the finish rates 98%. The action is crisp, the lock up is tight, and the bore is bright and clean. The original grips have sharp checkering throughout and show no wear. Comes with original labeled box, papers, and even the original sales receipt. Overall a near-perfect example of a difficult to find S&W.
