An excellent original first year production Walther Model PP in 7.65mm.
The Walther PP pistol is one of the most famous semiautomatic pistols of the 20th century. It was a revolutionary design and was the first production model double action auto pistol. The PP went into production in 1929 at serial number 750,001. this pistol in the 762,000 range would have been built in the first year of production, and has all proper markings and proofs, ( crown over 'N') for the period. Early Walther PP pistols were very finely made with an excellent quality high polish blued finish. The early PP pistols were on hand for the political battles of the late Weimar republic and served through WW II.
CONDITION: This Walther PP is in excellent original condition retaining 96% strong original high polish blued finish with a a few light handling marks and some light wear on the backstrap. The 90 degree safety retains nearly all its orig. fire blue. The bore and mechanical functions are excellent. The magazine is excellent and of the early type. The grips are excellent and of the early weighted type.
A scarce and excellent original example of a world-famous pistol, and one of the first of its type for collectors of high condition early auto pistols.
