Description:
Belgian hammer 16 ga. Made by Lucien Clement in Liege. Has modest engraving of pointing dogs on the back action locks with original hammers. Choked skeet and skeet. 28 inch barrels; LOP ca. 15 inches measured from front trigger, 14 from back trigger. Sling swivels; Suhl and Sohn butt plate and a fine english style stock that is a later and very good replacement with no handling marks. The long tang indicates that this gun has an English style straight stock originally, too. Back trigger may eventually need attention as it is lighter than right, but I have had these attended to by Karcher in Oregon inexpensively and quickly on other doubles. Bluing on barrels thinning but no marks, dents, bulges or rust.
Not nitro proofed but works well with low pressure shells; I used my own low pressure loads from the 16 Ga. Society spreadsheet, and RST.
