Description:

***   REDUCED   ***   This boxlock ejector pigeon gun was originally made as a 16 bore by Boss at their Albemarle Street location in 1937. Cyril Adams had it sleeved and proofed in 2013 with 30-inch 20 bore barrels and topped by a flat crosshatched pigeon style rib. It has double triggers, automatic ejectors, and weighs 6lb 6oz.   ***   The 30” steel sleeved barrels were ntro proofed for 2-3/4” shotshells in 2013. They are topped by a raised solid wide pigeon style rib. The right barrel is bored 0.625 and has a constriction of 0.020 for 3/4 choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.036. The left barrel is also bored 0.625 with a constriction of 0.030 for Full choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.035.   ***   The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made from nicely figured straight grain walnut and the buttstock has a 7/8” leather pad. Stock dimensions are 15-1/8” by 1-3/8” by 1-7/8”. Cast off for the righthand shot.   ***   The gun is cased in a period leather case with accessories including a 2-piece mahogany cleaning rod, snap caps and an oil bottle. The exterior of the case shows typical wear for its age. The inside appears to have been relined at sometime and is in pretty good condition. .   ***   This is a very nice handling small bore pigeon gun made between the wars by the world’s best gunmaker, Boss & Co. Sleeved with long 20 bore tubes it is fairly safe to say that it is unique. You may never get a chance again to own a gun like this. Great for trap, sporting, and a lot of fun to shoot at flyers. ***   Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection period and will only accept returns at buyer’s expense if the gun is not as described in the listing. ***  Come and see this great double and other fine firearms at the MacNab booth at the SOUTHERN SIDE-BY-SIDE April 25 - 28, 2019 at Deep River Sporting Clays in Sanford, North Carolina.   ***   We are pleased to announce that noted British firearms author DONALD DALLAS will be at our booth the same weekend autographing and selling his books and answering your questions about British double guns.
