Available today is a really nice original non import Underwood M1 carbine. In 1963, the gov't released several hundred thousand M1 carbines for civilian sales. This is one of those. The original box is marked from the NRA thru Letterkenny Army Depot, and dated 11/63. These were shipped without a magazine so that they could be referred to as unservicable. The serial number of this rifle was also written on the outside of the box. It comes with a total of 10 magazines, mixed 15s and 30s. This is a late Igun, made Feb- March of '44. First 3 of the SN 405. It has an IO marked M2 stock with inspector's intials MR. That barrel is an Underwood dated 9/43. Type 2 rear sight and flat top bolt. It has a very consistant gray/green finish that you can see in the pictures. It has a mint bore and supposedly has not been fired since purchase years ago by the current owner. This one is a real sweetheart and priced right! In order to protect your investment, all long guns over $500 must be shipped in a hard case. Minimum shipping at this level is $55 and includes the hard case. Shipping cost could increase depending on value or weight of the firearm. For long guns less than $500, we still recommend the purchase of a hard case, again to protect your investment. These numbers are for shipping to the lower 48. There is also a 3% surcharge for customers using a credit card on internet sales.
