Description:
This is the New Model of 1896 with serial number 3615 and is probably first year production. It has a 6” barrel and the mechanical function is very good and tight. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling but does have spots of corrosion. It retains over 76% blue. This was the first swing out cylinder model for S&W. It was a success story for S&W.
