The blade is frosty, and perfect The large U.S. an ornate leaves on one side , the E.PLURIBUS UNUM ,flags pikes and such on the other.  There are so many battles & sieges this unit went through that it is amazing that Major Bliss survived .  Their are many articles that mention James Bliss, he was at Five forks, Brandy Station, Gettysburg, Winchester,Petersburg siege, cold harbor, Brady Station, Spostvania, Sailor Creek , Appomattox Court House, I would say over fifty deployments .
