Description:
This rifle is correct with bayonet lug and dated on lockplate 1861 as is the barrel. Nice .58 caliber bore and all maynard primer parts are intact. Proofs are on the barrel and top leaf of rear sight replaced. Wood has the normal dents and scratches and dulling the cartouches on the stock. Light pitting on barrel but date is quite readable. 100% guaranteed. I bought this rifle in 1998 from James Julia and has been in my collection for 20 years. It was part of the Bob Harris collection from Connecticut.
