This 6" inch barreled Colt Match Target Woodsman was manufactured in 1948. It is a 2nd Model which indicates that the magazine catch is on the frame behind the trigger like a 1911, instead of on the heel of the grip behind the magazine's floorplate. These 2nd Model Woodsman's were only made for 8 years between 1947 and 1955 and are considered one of the best models that Colt produced in this line. This pistol is 100% all-original with a minty bore and 97% of the original factory blue finish, and it has the proper 2nd Model factory magazine which are quite sought-after. These Match Target Model Woodsman's are one of the finest and most accurate automatic .22 pistols ever made, and continue to be great investments year after year. This is truly a collector grade piece.
