I have what is without a doubt the most unique and rare Parker Reproduction that I have ever owned. This gun is a Steel Shot Special with the normal 28 inch barrels specially choked Improved Cylinder and Modified to give excellent patterns shooting steel shot and stamped with the SS designation. That in itself is very unique, but what sets this gun apart is that it also has a set of 30 inch factory original barrels that are numbered to the gun. This set of barrels comes with Briley thin wall choke tubes and there are six included with the gun, skeet, skeet, IC, IC, Mod, and IM. If that in itself isn't enough, the gun also comes with both a splinter and beavertail forend both numbered to the gun. From my research and with input from John Allen I found out there were 25 sets of 30 inch barrels made and they were sold and attached to any Parker Reproduction the buyer wanted them attached to. They are marked and look exactly like the 28 inch barrels. Because they were sold on any 12 gauge gun this may actually be the only Steel Shot Special with the extra 30 inch set of barrels. I have been ask if the Briley choke tubes were added to the set of barrels or offered as an option when purchased. I have no way of knowing the answer to this but I can say the only other set of 30 inch barrels I've come across are owned by a gentleman on the Parker Gun Collector'ssite and his has the same Briley thin wall tubes this set of barrels has. This gun is a straight grip, single trigger gun with very nice wood. Case coloring is at about 50-60%. The gun has been shot but well cared for and I just had my gunsmith go through the gun, clean and lube it. Stock dimensions on the gun are 1 1/2 X 2 3/8 X 14 1/16 over the original skeleton butt plate meausred from the rear mounted single trigger. Weight of the gun is 7 pounds 9 ounces with the long barrel and beavertail. By the way, the forends are interchangeable on either barrel which is a nice feature. The set is complete with two barrel case, dust cover, Parker Repro snap caps, Parker Repro oil bottle, Rosewood cleaning rod, mops and brushes, and the keys for the case in the leather key fob. Price of the gun is $8500 plus $80 shipping to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with the buyer paying shipping charges if returned. If you want one gun to shoot sporting clays, skeet, and hunt with this would certainly be the one. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
