This gun is a mint condition, all original, bolt action Weatherby Mark V Custom rifle in .378 Weatherby Magnum caliber. The serial number is P21853 indicating it was manufactured for Weatherby by J. P. Sauer of West Germany in 1967. There is no country of origin markings on the visible portions of the firearm. The barrel is bright blue, is contoured, has no provisions for sights, and is 26 inches long. This gun has deluxe skip line hand checkering, a fancy grade walnut Monte Carlo stock with cheekpiece, a rosewood fore-end tip, a rosewood pistol grip cap, quick detachable sling swivels, and a Weatherby recoil pad. The receiver is bright blue, factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting and has the typical Weatherby scrolling on its left side. The bolt has 9 locking lugs and is factory jeweled. The magazine follower is also factory jeweled. This appears to be a like new gun that has never been used.
