Building on the incredibly precise 557 short action, the Varmint model adds a stout 25.6 inch barrel in a heavy profile that tapers to a 0.863 inch muzzle. Anchored in a newly-designed walnut stock, it has a healthy palm swell, laser-cut stippling and a flat forend. With ergonomics as the guiding principle in the stock’s development, the result is an incredibly comfortable rifle to lay behind, whether you’re punching paper, ringing steel or knocking off prairie dogs at great distances. This is a like new in box rifle that is a factory blemish. The rifle looks like new and does not look like it has been fired outside of the factory. You save around $150.00 form MSRP.
