This round butt, "K" frame, Model 15-9 was a limited issue of 50 units manufactured in 2001. It is a exact replica of the gun used by Ed McGivern in 1934 when he won the world speed record at the Lewistown, Montana Armory. Unbeliveably, he fired 5 shots in 9/20th of a second on January 18th, and 5 shots in 2/5th of a second on January 23rd. Ed McGivern was a famous exhibition shooter, shooting instructor and author of the book "Fast & Fancy Revolver Shooting". His performance in 1934 earned him a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for "the greatest rapid fire feat". With it's color case hardened frame, this is beautiful and rare (only 50 made) handgun. It is near new and unfired in it's original box.
