Inv. 6965 Japanese 38 Carbine Type 36 Carbine Cal. .6.5 Ser. 1156XX. Fantastic, Perfect Mum, Bolt and receiver matching.
The original Koishikawa Arsenal blue reaming is about 90+%. Fortunately the bulk of the loss is on the buttplate which is covered with scattered pinpricks.The rest of the gun is at least at 98% . This little carbine was a "Rack Queen" you can be sure. The MUM is not ground. The stock has retained about 95% of the original lacquer. The wood is the typical soft tropical type and has several small surface nicks and dings, but no splits or chips missing The bore is quite nice, very bright with sharp rifling and some very mild scattered frost.
It would be hard to find a Type 38 carbine in nicer condition to add to your collection....Shipped....$695 OBO
