We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
This is an interesting rifle. It is essentially the Ruger 10/22 Target modified from the standard .22 LR to fire the much flatter-shooting .17 Hornady Mach 2 (HM2) round. The Mach 2 involves necking the round down to .17-caliber. At this point, the case is now a bottleneck rather than a straight case. The round is loaded 2100 ft/s, which is nearly double that of a standard .22 LR. This gives an effective range out to 175 yards, which is impressive for a bullet weighing only 17 grains (1.10 grams)! The original rifle barrel and bolt have been replaced by an E. Arthur Brown Co. 18-1/8” stainless heavy barrel and bolt. The bolt changeout is mandatory for something like the .17 HM2 due to its higher operating pressures and the blowback nature of the 10/22 design. The 10/22 is well known for its reliability and ease of use making it suitable for varmint hunting or training youth to shoot a rifle. The rifle comes with the original box. This customized rifle is in good condition and shows but a few signs of use. The stainless barrel has a few small scratches on the right side though these are minor surface marks. The laminate stock is in good condition with no dings or scratches. The bore is in great shape though some powder residue remains. The scope and rings have some marks on them, though minor. The scope fitted is a 3-9x40mm. This rifle would suitable for hunting varmints at distances out to 175 yards – far beyond what the .22 LR can be relied upon for accurate fire. The rifle comes with its original box.
