We believe this is a pre Rem.244 and .243 Win. the .243 Rockchucker wildcat was very popular circa 1950, this rifle is in excelent shape except for the recoil pad which dry rotted and colapsed sitting in a rack. the rifle is built like a heavy varmenter or bench rirle, heay wood, heavy bull barrel, this gun may never have been fired. the action is in beautiful condition, the bolt and inner action is all jeweled along with the bolt release, trigger is crisp..
P&L Developement Target scope bases are already installed. a very nice gun in a real fireball of a cartridge. Ready for long range varment or deer hunting.
