Now you can by using the ammunition the gun was designed for! Gunsmoke Ammunition presents black powder, paper shotshells that produce top-notch performance with low pressure and softer recoil. Loads are offered for clays, upland bird hunting and pheasant/small game hunting-Target, Field and Heavy Field. ALL SHELLS ARE 2 3/4 INCHES.
Target: Loaded for the clay shooter who will shoot 100+ times in a day, these shells are 3 drams of powder under 1 oz. of no. 8 shot. 1200 fps
Field: Designed for taking grouse, quail and other upland birds, these shells are loaded to 5000 psi traveling 1200 fps. 3 1/4 drams under 1 1/8 no. 8 shot, birds better watch out!
Heavy Field: If you’re in the field for Pheasants or hunting turkey, rabbits or squirrels, this is the load for you. 3 3/4 drams powder driving 1 1/4 oz of no. 4, 5 or 6 shot. This does carry some recoil but cleanly takes game. 6000 psi at 1240 fps.
00 Buckshot: 3.4 drams(93 grains) powder driving 9 pellets- an effective load to drop Whitetails!
