A very nice Marlin Model 1895CB chambered in .45-70 that was manufactured in 2003, before Marlin was bought by Remington. This 1895 Cowboy is unfired and would be in like-new condition, but has some careless safe storage marks in the original finish. This model features a 26" inch octagon barrel with a full-length 9-shot magazine tube and straight grip Walnut stock. This particular example has been fitted with an adjustable Marbles brand tang sight, with the original barrel mounted rear sight replaced with a blank. The original gloss blue finish still looks great on this rifle but rates 96 to 97% because of the small marks on the barrel which are pictured. The bore is perfect in this Marlin. It is bright and minty with perfect sharp rifling and no visible imperfections. The original stock set is in excellent condition overall and is free from any cracks, repairs, or major dings. It does have a few small marks from being stored in an over-loaded safe , but as you can see in the pictures they are not noticeable except under close inspection. This Marlin 1895CB comes with the original box complete with the serial numbered end label and the original Styrofoam inserts inside. If you have been looking for one of the these pre-Remington Marlins for your collection this would be an excellent choice. Despite the small storage marks this is a superb unfired example of this sought-after Marlin model.
