Engraved EUROPEAN .52 Cal Box Lock Pocket Pistol
French Style Turn Barrel, Folding Trigger Percussion Gun
Here we present an antique European Percussion Pocket Pistol, made circa 1830, possibly in France. This pistol was intended to be carried much like the American Deringer pistol. It was small but featured a large .50 caliber bore to make that single shot count. Unlike the Deringer, the barrel threads off for loading without a rammer. This gun is very attractive with its neat engraving. A very handsome example of a European conceal carry weapon from the 19th Century!
The overall condition is very good. The metal surfaces bear a gray patina. The markings are clear. The grip is in good shape. The bore is clear. The action on this pistol is excellent. Own your piece of European history!
