The Winchester Model 21 is arguably the finest American-made side by side shotgun ever made. They were finely crafted and made from the very best materials available at that time. The Model 21 quickly earned a reputation for being a beautiful and classy shotgun yet nearly indestructible and supremely reliable. The Winchester Model 21 is extremely collectible today with sub-gauge guns being the most sought-after. This Winchester Model 21 has been professionally restored and now appears in absolutely beautiful "like-new" condition. It is a 20 gauge gun with 26" inch barrels that are choked .006" and .010" which translates to "Improved Cylinder" and "Modified". The length of pull on this Model 21 is 14&1/8th inches to the end of the original factory buttplate. The drop at the heel and comb is 2.5" inches and 1.5" inches respectively. The weight of this shotgun is 6 pounds and 4 ounces unloaded. During the restoration the metal surfaces were expertly hand polished and rust blued to the beautiful gloss blue finish that you can see in the pictures. All of the original factory markings and still sharp and fully legible, and all of the original edges are still sharp. The original Walnut stock set has also been expertly restored. The original hand-cut checkering has been refreshed and straightened up, and the whole stock set received a beautiful oil finish. True to this model's reputation, mechanically this Model 21 was in perfect shape and the action and internals were simply cleaned and lubricated. If you have been looking for a 20 gauge Model 21 for your collection that would be both an excellent investment and a wonderful field gun, this is it. You could carry this shotgun with pride into any dove field or quail plantation in the Untied States.
