Colt U.S. 1911 A-1, Cal. .45acp, Ser 881824. Super condition.
The remaining original factory Parkerizing is about 98%. The little loss is due to a couple of small small surface rub marks on the right side of the slide. Some very slight sharp edge silvering and the two usual slide marks on the frame, that's it. Not a rust spot, pin prick or a scratch to be found. As always there is the take down lever mark on the frame.
The factory heat treat mark is easily seen at about 2 1/2" back from the muzzle. The grip straps have not even started to grey This serial number group has the slide numbered to the frame and it does indeed match. The top of the the slide has the "P" proof. the left side of the frame has the "P" and the inspector's stamp, GHD.
The plastic grips are absolutely perfect and have the correct large ring screw holes.The screws are pristine. The interior of the slide and the feed mechanism show little or no use. The barrel is correctly stamped Colt .45 Auto and is outstanding like the rest of the gun, The bore is sunshine bright with razor sharp rifling. It looks factory new. It comes with one original "L" stamped magazine.
