Description:
.58 caliber, 40" rifled barrel dated 1863. High arch hammer and flat lock with the maker's name and dated "1863". All parts finished bright with the exception of the rear sight which is blued. Full length walnut stock bearing two mint U.S. inspector's cartouches. In unissued and uncleaned original condition with the metal showing the bright polish dulling with areas of dried grease from storage. Mint bore. Excellent wood with crisp edges and only some minor handling marks. I believe that this will clean to new.
