Up for sale is a Winchester model 1894 rifle chambered in .30 w.c.f. 26" octagon barrel. (C&R) Metal finish has normal wear for the age. Bore has even frosting but has decent rifling. Wood is in very good condition. Action works just fine. Small dent on forward magazine tube but it doesn't interfere with shells. This rifle is a great shooter. It's up to you to know your local laws. This rife was purchased and returned. The previous purchaser compared this rife to his Winchester collectors books and according to him there have been a few changes. I really didn't understand everything he was saying, but the important issues are the SN# is 1899 which make this rifle C&R, and some of the proof stamps are post 1899. I looked the rifle over and can't find any of the proofs he's talking about. However, Being SN is a 1899 sn. this rifle will need at least a C&R. $45.00 shipping includes insurance and signature delivery. Postage both ways paid by buyer if returned.
