Inv. 6968 DWM Artillery P-08, Cal. 9mm Ser. 34XX r. What a beauty. This is a real sissy gun. I'll bet this one went directly to a rear officer's campaign chest, judging by it's super condition.
The original factory blue is at least 98-99%. There's a scant bit of sharp edge silvering, the usual holster side plate wear and possibly a pin prick or two and that's it. The grip straps have not even started to grey.
There are no rust spots, rub marks or scratches. The strawed parts are also 98-99%. All numbers match including the magazine. The right side of the slide is marked Crown/D, Crown/S, Crown/S, Upturned Eagle. The barrel, Upturned Eagle(?).
The light beech wood grips are in super condition. No chips, splits or dings. The feed ramp, slide rail and bolt face show very little if any use. The bore like the rest of the gun is super. It is mirror bright, the rifling is razor sharp with some very minor scattered frost. It comes with one correct matching magazine.
It would be very difficult to find another "Artillery" as nice as this centerpiece at anywhere near this price........Shipped... $2895
