Like the factory blued Mini-14 listed earlier, this semi-auto Ruger Mini-14 in stainless steel has spent the lst 20 years of it's life unfired and in storage. This .223 Remington example is serial number 184-71712 and was manufactured in 1985. It is a very nice all-original gun in excellent condition overall. The factory stainless steel finish rates 95% plus, with the only deductions coming from some tiny dark stain spots on the barrel and receiver. These can be seen in the pictures provided with the listing, and as you can see they do not detract from the very attractive appearance of this neat firearm. The bore in this Ruger is exceptional, it looks like-new with no visible imperfections whatsoever. The rifling still shows sharp lands and grooves, and like the blue example we have, has likely been fired a handful of times at the very most. The internals on this carbine are equally as clean as the exterior and show no mechanical wear. The original hardwood stock on this Mini-14 is particularly beautiful. It shows a nice even red/brown color and is free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major wear. There are a few small handling/storage marks in it, but nothing that detracts much at all from the clean and attractive look of this stock. The original gloss black plastic buttplate is still in place, tight to the wood, and in excellent condition. The original ventilated black plastic handguard looks like-new. Everything on this Ruger works 100% like the day it left the factory. The action is smooth and tight and it appears to work perfectly, going into battery with authority. All of the controls and sight adjustments work perfectly. This Mini-14 comes with one factory original 20-round blued steel magazine. It is in like-new condition with a perfect factory finish. If you have been looking for one of these American-made classics for your collection here is your chance to add a superb all-original and unmolested example.
