Description:
Remington Model 81 in the popular hard hitting .300 Savage caliber. This is one of the quintessential Adirondack deer rifles and this gun is still located about 30 miles from where in was made at the Remington plant in Ilion NY. "The Woodsmaster" !!
This rifle is in collector's condition with very slight carry wear to the original factory blue from use.... blue is deep & bright, minor mars & fine scratches. The barrel has a series of very minor slight hairline marks/scratches. Does not detract. The wood is sound, uncracked & unsanded with what appears to be original factory wood finish & buttplate. Wood finish does show a fair amount of scratches & maring but mostly all superficial. Correct sights & buttplate. Tight, crisp action, mint bore, unmarred screws. Pictures represent the gun well. This gun has a great look & will become one of your favorites. A nice opportunity to get a collector conditon Model 81 which can still be hunted & enjoyed in this popular caliber.
