Description:
This is a great example of the hard to find Winchester Model 74 rifle which was made for a short time in small numbers. Semi-auto .22 long rifle caliber with 24" barrel. This is a "man-sized" rifle unlike most of the little .22s of that era. Serial number puts it around 1942 production so you decide whether to class it "pre-war" or "post-war"
Gun retains most of it's original Winchester factory blue on all metal parts with some small blems & handling wear. I've never seen another M74 with anywhere near this much factory blue. Excellent bore, original sights, nice operation.
Uncracked, unsanded buttstock appears to maintain original factory finish with minor marks & light scratching. The photos represent the condition of the rifle well. Alot of of gun for the money.
