Colt SAA "Frontier SixShooter". 44 WCF (44-40), 7 1/2" bbl. Extremely fine "experienced " condition. Lots of character. Beautiful color, and grips. 1917 gun. Back in late 1890s and early 1900s many travelers, merchants and cowboys were carry their trusty lever action rifle chambered in the extremely popular 44-40. Rather than carry to calibers of ammo, or buy a new gun, a great many had there SixShooter altered to fit the larger round. This is one such historic convienvence conversion. Gun letters from Colt as a 32-20. Certainly if the owner had a lever action he'd want the calibers to much and the 44-40 is a larger more powerful round would want to upgrade to that. Likely went back to Colt for new cyclinder and bbl. Never the less, strikingly beautiful in its current state. Trades or layaway considered.
