SOLD!!! A fantastic rare M1851 Colt Navy revolver with Gustave Young engravings on barrel, frame, hammer, trigger guard & back strap. The engravings are of the Gustave Young style who worked for Colt Mfr Co. as chief engraver from 1852-1869. Floral style with his trade mark of the wolf on both sides of the hammer. Action is very good. Bore has rifling but is dirty. Grips are Lady Liberty carved ivory. Super rare gun. Pre Civil War production that could have been on either side. This one was definitely fired in anger but very well cared for. All matching early 89270 serial number.
