Description:
A Unique U.S.M.C. ammunition lot. This lot consists of 6 our of the case boxes of Peters Rustless 30-06 ball cartridges. Both the boxes and the cartridges rate as excellent. These Peters boxes were in use from 1950 to 1962.- Head stamped Peters 30-06. The bullet is a 180 gr metal case tapered heel #3079. Reach box is ink stamped with a lot #26001 as is the original wood case. The original case remains in excellent condition with the normal Peters markings. One end shows and old stapled label from the U.S. Marine Cor traffic branch, Albany GA to the receiving officer, supply Dept of the Marine Cor Scol Quantico VA The other end shows the ink stamped lot #.
