Description:
These are an exceptionally fine pair of Lazaro Lazarino Flintlock Belt Pistols with chiseled barrels and inlaid stocks. They have no serial numbers and have 6.75” 44 caliber bores. These were crafted by the famed Brecian, Italian gun maker/ Lazaro Lazarino, sometimes his name is spelled Laro Lino. These were made around 1650. The smooth bore barrels have a chiseled chevron pattern with two grotesque faces at both ends of the barrel markings. The stock has four wood inlays that are lined with silver wire inlays and both ramrods have horn tips. One of the pistols is missing a little bit of silver wire inlay. Both pistols function is very fine and crisp. There is high relief wood carving on top behind the tangs. These are a very rare pair of finely made pistols from a very famous early gun maker.
