We are proud to bring to you this scarce and desirable Abercrombie and Fitch A. Francotte Knock About side by side shotgun chambered in 28 ga. This particular shotgun was special ordered by James Bell Jr. James Bell JR was the owner of “The General Mills Company” which supplied all the grain and things of that nature during the Vietnam War. This shotgun was ordered on December 15, 1959. This shotgun comes with all documentation on this shotgun from Griffin & Howe on the original order. Also with this shotgun comes the original build sheet from Francotte. I also have all the documents on James Bell Jr and his life as well that come with this. The shotgun remains to be in its original condition. The 26 inch barrels show a bright and shiny bore with fixed modified and full chokes. The splinter forend attaches tightly and firm. The barrels lock up smooth and tight. The single trigger breaks crisp and clean. The automatic ejectors work flawlessly. The stock remains at the factory length of pull of 15.25 inches. The drop at the heel is 2 7/16 inch and the drop at the comb is 1.5 inches. This shotgun is listed as weight 5lbs 1 oz on the sheet (back when they used mechanical scales) my digital scale weighs the shotgun at 4.98lbs. This is a real find and hard to beat. This is a great grouse and woodcock gun out of my personal collection. I have killed a lot of birds with this but bought a new shotgun for myself and don’t use this one anymore. The amount of papers that come with this shotgun and provenance is unheard of for most shotguns. This would make a great addition to anyone’s collection.

Refund/Return Policy
Returns are accepted! If you purchase an item and are not happy with it, return it and receive 100% of the total cost, including transfer and return shipping.
Firearms- 7 day, no fire return on firearms if you are unhappy with it! If an item was sent that doesn’t function properly, we will fix it for free within a timely manner. If we cannot fix the item, we will issue a full 100% refund or credit on a different firearm, your choice!
Non-Firearm Items- 7 day return policy. If you purchase an item and are not happy we will refund 100% of all costs incurred as long as it’s in the original condition we shipped it in.
Damaged/Broken Items during shipping- If an item is damaged or broken during shipping, we will pay to have it fixed by the Gunsmith of your choice at no cost to you or refund 100% of all costs encurred, whichever you choose.
Layaway- All Layaway items are non-refundable unless broken or damaged.
20% Re-stocking fee for items bought that were accurately described that you just don’t want or impulse bought.
Shipping Information
All items purchased will be shipped in a timely manner by using either USPS or UPS. All items shipped are fully insured for the complete cost (Item and Shipping) of the buyer. Generally our items are shipped within 3 business days of completing the transaction. All shipping prices are for the LOWER 48 STATES only. Additional shipping costs will be added at the end of the action for Alaska and Hawaii. We will ship internationally as well, if legal. We ship to California as well! All firearms will be shipped to your local Federally Licensed Firearms dealer only! All non-firearm items will only be shipped to the address registered with . No acceptions! Tracking will be provided when the item is boxed and ready for shipping. It is the buyers responsibily to ensure their dealer has sent a copy of their valid, signed FFL. We will not track it down.
