This is a Civil War ear Sharps converted to a sporting rifle presumably by Dimick of St. Louis. A lot of these style guns were done in the St. Louis area and most are attributed to EC Meacham. This gun is in .45-70 and has a bore with strong rifling and some pitting. The barrel is a Sharps factory barrel and this gun has double set triggers.
