Description:
This Winchester was produced in early 1943. The carbine's serial number is 1116443. This Winchester has not been restored or rebuilt. This carbine is in all original as issued condition! This "I" stock has very fancy grained wood! The hand guard is the high bull nose style with wide sight groove. The handguard is unmarked. The stock and handguard retain all of the original finish. The high wood stock has the correct W.R.A. G.H,D. Stamp. It also has the correct crossed cannons ordnance stamp. The sling is the early style. The oiler is the correct early Winchester oiler. All the parts are correct Winchester parts for this serial number range and date. The hammer is the dog leg style. The magazine release is the plain long face. The safety is the cross hatched surface style. This frame has the early detachable operating rod spring housing. The magazine is the early IW in a circle. The bore and chamber is bright with no issues. The Winchester barrel is undated. The bolt retain's all of it's bluing except where it rubs along the frame guides. This carbine's overall condition would rate a 95% condition. This is a very difficult early Winchester to find in this original condition. The stunning wood really adds to it's appeal! This Winchester will certainly appeal to the serious Military Collector as well as the Winchester collector. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
