Description:
In 1984, the Beretta 92FS was selected by a multi-national roster of defense and law enforcementanizations as the best and most innovative semi-automatic pistol, following over 3,000 quality control checks, and extensive field testing for reliability. In one of the Army supervised tests of 12 random 92FS’s, the test pistols fired over 168,000 rounds without malfunction. Chosen by the U.S.Military to be the new M9 standard issue, the pistol began a lengthy and legendary career in the field with both military and law enforcement personnel.
The 96FS is the same 92FS, but chambered in 40 caliber for law enforcement and civilian use.
The 96FS has proven, like the 92FS, to be a precisely accurate, safe and reliable semi-automatic. The pistols features are as follows:

This particular 96FS comes with original case, owner’s manual and other original docs, and original cable trigger lock. Also included are four (4) magazines (2 original and 2 aftermarket). The pistol has been kept well, used lightly, and not abused. The bore is excellent, bright and shiny. There are slight wear marks on the bottom rear of the grip (visible in attached pictures), and some minor cycling marks on the top of the barrel not visible from the outside of the pistol.
Terms of Sale:
1. This item must be shipped to a currently licensed FFL dealer within the continental USA. That dealer will need to provide directly to me a copy of his FFL license paperwork. And the purchaser will need to provide a copy of his driver's license, and if his state requires (such as in Pennsylvania) a copy of his certification of eligibility to purchase the firearm. . I will ship by insured UPS, consistent with Federal and carrier firearm shipping requirements. I will pack the gun and accoutrements securely for shipment, and bear the shipping expense, subject to refund set off if the gun is returned during the 3 day inspection period. Shipment will be made once the purchaser’s check or money order is cleared funds in my bank account. Sorry, I do not do international transactions and do not take PayPal or credit cards.
2. A three-day right of inspection will apply.
3. The seller is just an old guy liquidating his collection and is neither a gun dealer or purports to be an “expert” in firearms.
