Description:
Charles Boswell Boxlock 12 Gauge Ejector serial number 14XXX. Features 30” nitro proofed bbls., solid matte rib, 2 ½” chambers, automatic safety, double triggers, single steel bead front sight, semi pistol grip stock & splinter fore-end with Anson release. Choked improved modified/cylinder, LOP to the horn buttplate 14 3/8”, drop at comb 1 ½”, drop at heel 2 ¼”, weight 6lbs 13oz. Rib marked “CHARLES BOSWELL. MAKER. 126. STRAND. LONDON. W.C”, rib engraved with scrolls near breach. Boxlock Action, features scroll engraving with 3 pheasants on right side & 3 grouse on opposite side, with scroll engraving on bottom. Excellent condition being redone with barrels retaining 98% re-blue with action retaining 60% of fading case colors. Stock is excellent showing sharp checkering with carved panels terminating in tear drop behind each side of action, showing only minimal handling/storage marks. Barrels are tight on face with firm lockup, excellent shiny bores.
