This Winchester was produced in 1907. The rifle's serial number is 408614. It has the octagon 26 inch barrel. The bore is very fine with no frosting or other issues. The lever shows strong good traces of color cased finish especially in protected areas. The hammer shows weak color cased finish. The front sight is the standard style sight with german silver blade. The rear sight is the Winchester special smokeless sight especially designed for the 32 W.S. cartridge. The barrel and magazine blue would rate a 97% original condition. The reciever would rate a 96% strong blue. The loading gate retains most of the niter blued finish. The stock and forend have no damage or cracks. The original wood finish would rate a 95% overall condition. Most of the wear is on the underside of the forend. This is a fine condition well cared for early rifle that has seen little use or wear. The special smokeless rear sight is a real plus for this rifle!
