Here is a rare opportunity to own a gorgeous, one of a kind custom rifle by renowned builder Frank Wells of Tucson, AZ. This rifle is nothing short of fantastic in terms of workmanship, quality of components, and the exquisitely figured wood. It is based on a Sako AI Hunter Lightweight short action, and chambered in the tiny but wicked .17 Remington. The 21" Barrel features a 2 leaf express style rear sight on a quarter rib, combined with a checkered, button removable hood over a beaded front sight on sculpted ramp. A barrel band has been fitted for the forward sling attach. All metal finishes are a lustrous satin blue in 99% condition. The stock shows amazing figure with beautiful custom features including flawless fine line, wrap around Fleur-di-lis checkering, ebony tip, shadow line cheek piece, steel grip cap, and a 13 1/2" LOP to a black Olde English pad. Wood is in 98%+ condition with some scattered, very light impressions. Weight is 6 lbs. 10 oz. Bore is excellent and mechanical function appears to be in perfect working order. Comes with a set of 1" scope rings that fit the dovetailed receiver. A fabulous rifle in all regards, priced below replacement cost.
